When i was 10 years old my parents sent me to summer camp for a week. On the third day, after dinner, we had free time to play around camp and eat our desserts. So i sat at a picnic table eating fuzzy peaches. When i finished my fuzzy peaches, a little bright eyed boy with Downs Syndrome walked up to me and asked me if i would be his partner to jump on the big trampoline because nobody else wanted to. I felt bad so i told him i would love to be his partner and i jumped on the trampoline with him. Despite the fact the trampoline was old and rickety and hardly bouncy anymore he had this huge smile on his face and watching him have so much fun caused me to have a huge smile as well. When our turn on the trampoline was over we climbed off and he turned to me, hugged me and said ” I love you” then he smiled and ran away to play with a nearby soccer ball. That was the first time a boy ever told me he loved me and I’m grateful to say it was that little bright eyed boy from camp.
